To begin trading on Clarity, you must first deposit funds into your Clarity ZAR account.

Investec Private Bank Account Holders:

You can instantly deposit cash into your Clarity ZAR account from your Investec Private Bank account.

On the web:

  • Ensure that your "ZAR account" is selected in the top right of the page as deposits can only be made into your ZAR account.

  • From the menu, select the wallet icon and then select "Investec Private Bank Transfer".

  • Input the amount you would like to fund your account with and select "Deposit." Please note that there is a minimum deposit amount of R25.00.

  • A confirmation email will be sent, and your funds will immediately be reflected in your Clarity ZAR account.

On the app:

  • Select “More” on the bottom right. Select “Deposit” from the menu.

  • Select your Private Bank account in the “From” box, enter the amount you would like to deposit and select "Deposit." Please note that there is a minimum deposit amount of R25.00.

  • A confirmation email will be sent, and your funds will immediately be reflected in your Clarity ZAR account.

Funding your accounts from Other banks:

On the web:

  • Ensure that your "ZAR account" is selected in the top right of the page as deposits can only be made into your ZAR account.

  • From the menu, select the wallet icon and then select "Other Bank Transfer".

  • You will see your personalised Clarity account details here that you need to use. Create a beneficiary in your online banking / banking app and do an EFT from your bank using your Clarity beneficiary details.

  • Please note that there is a minimum deposit amount of R25.00.

  • A confirmation email will be sent. Your EFT should reflect in 1 to 2 business days.

  • You may also input the Amount and upload the Transfer confirmation on the Clarity site. This is not required in order to do a deposit.

On the app:

  • Select “More” on the bottom right. Select “Deposit” from the menu.

  • Select “Other bank transfer".

  • You will see your personalised Clarity account details here that you need to use. Create a beneficiary in your online banking / banking app and do an EFT from your bank using your Clarity beneficiary details.

  • Please note that there is a minimum deposit amount of R25.00.

  • A confirmation email will be sent. Your EFT should reflect in 1 to 2 business days.

  • You may also input the Amount and upload the Transfer confirmation on the Clarity site. This is not required in order to do a deposit.

Transferring to your other Clarity accounts:

Currently, you can only make cash deposits into your Clarity ZAR account. If you would like to fund any of your other Clarity accounts, you will need to transfer the funds from your Clarity ZAR account into any of the other Clarity accounts.

On the web

Select the wallet icon from the menu, and then select "transfer"

On the app

Select "More" (bottom right), then "Transfer and FX". Here you can transfer between your Clarity accounts.
