How do I fund my USD account?

Currently we support transfers from ZAR to USD. You can't deposit USD directly into your Clarity USD account. To fund your USD account, you need to first fund your Clarity ZAR account, and then transfer the ZAR from you ZAR account to your USD account.

We are working on enabling direct USD deposits, but there's no set date for when this will be available.

Follow these steps to transfer funds from your ZAR account to your USD account:

ZAR to USD: On the web

  1. Select your ZAR account in the top right corner.

  2. Select the wallet icon from the menu on the right-hand side.

  3. Select the transfer tab.

  4. Select USD account in the "To Account" box.

  5. Enter the amount you want to deposit into your USD account and select "transfer". You will need to accept the declaration in order to proceed.

ZAR to USD: On the app

  1. Select "More" on the bottom right of the screen.

  2. Select "Transfer and FX", then transfer funds from your ZAR account to your USD account.

The forex transaction will be completed instantly*, and the USD will be credited to your account. You can now trade internationally!

If you want to transfer USD back to your ZAR account, please follow these steps:

USD to ZAR: On the web

  1. Select your USD account in the top right corner.

  2. Select the wallet icon from the menu on the right-hand side.

  3. Select the transfer tab.

  4. Select ZAR account in the "To Account" box.

  5. Enter the amount you want to deposit into your ZAR account and select "transfer".

On the app

  1. Select "More" on the bottom right of the screen.

  2. Select "Transfer and FX", then transfer funds from your USD account to your ZAR account.

*Please note: forex transactions can only be processed on business days in South Africa (not public holidays or weekends).
