You can choose whether you would like to set a S/L and/or T/P on Clarity, either by modifying an existing open trade, or when you are opening a trade. You may do this as follows:

  1. New trade: When opening a trade you can set your S/L and/or T/P in the open trade screen.

    • You may change S/L and/or T/P to suit your investment strategy.

  2. Pending orders: If you have a pending buy limit or pending sell limit order with a S/L and T/P, you can modify it to change the S/L or T/P you have set.

    • On the web:

      • Go to your Dashboard >> Pending Orders. Select the 3 dots on the right and click “Modify”.

    • On the app:

      • Go to “accounts”. Your pending orders will be in the screen. Click on the order and the modify screen will open.

  3. Queued orders: If you have a market order that is pending as the market is not yet open, you cannot modify the S/L or T/P. You must cancel the order and resubmit it.

  4. Existing Open Trades: If you have an open trade, you can modify it to change the S/L or T/P you have set, or add a S/L or T/P if you do not have one set for that trade.

    • On the web:

      • Go to your Dashboard >> Open Trades. Find the trade you want to modify. Select the 3 dots on the right and click “Modify”.

    • On the app:

      • Go to “accounts”. Select the trade you want to modify. Click on the individual trade in the table, and you will see the modify options.

You can view the S/L and T/P price you have set on each trade in the above screens as well.

Important items to note when using S/L and/or T/P:

  • When you add and S/L and a T/P to your trade, a default value is input for your convenience. You may change S/L and T/P to suit your investment strategy.

  • The S/L and/or T/P price you set includes spread on execution. Ie no spread will be added on top of that price.

  • If the price of the instrument reaches the S/L or T/P you have set, the trade will automatically close.

    • Trades in your account that are closed due to hitting a S/L or T/P price will be indicated as such in your statement (on the web platform only).

    • You will receive an email when any of your trades are closed due to a S/L or T/P hit.
